Will you give a sermon at my wedding or ceremony?

No.  I do not give sermons at ceremonies such as Weddings.  I feel that the wedding is for the bride and groom to share with their guests.  It is a time for them to celebrate their new life together.  The best place for a sermon is at your church or house of worship.  I do gladly incorporate cultural components of those getting married into the ceremony, but do not include religious or biblical references.  I also have a large selection of readings that you can choose from to incorporate into your ceremony.

What if I want a religious wedding?

As a humanist, I perform ceremonies that reflect the essence and beauty of the bond between people.  I do not perform ceremonies which celebrate religion, but instead that celebrate the union of two people who are committed to spending their lives together.  The ceremony is an outward expression of their love and intent to spend their lives together to their family and friends.  I do humanist and spiritual services and as such, I do not do the same type of ceremonies that a Catholic, Methodist or other specific religious clergy members would perform.

I want a secular ceremony with no religious trappings whatsoever.  Is that a problem?

No problem at all; that is what I do.  One of the reasons that people use a celebrant or officiant is because they do not want a religious wedding.  I am here to make sure that you have the exact wedding you desire without any religious requirements at all.  It is your day and as such you should be happy with every aspect of your ceremony.
